The Chico Running Club hosts fun runs/walks for members and the Chico community, and organizes foot races for participants from all over California.
MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION / RENEWAL FORM
The Chico Running Club was founded in August, 1975 by a group of nine dedicated runners. We currently have about 100 members, including runners and walkers of all ages and abilities. The CRC is a nonprofit organization dedicated to keeping the sports of running and walking alive.
The Chico Running Club’s mission is to:
- Encourage exercise for fun and fitness for people in the Chico area
- Encourage non-competitive participation in the sport of running
- Facilitate competitive running for those who wish to improve their performance
Members meet each Saturday morning at 8am and Tuesday evenings at 6pm (summer only for daylight) to run in Lower Bidwell Park (One Mile Pool). Members also meet other times…..log onto our Google Group to find friends to run with!
In addition, CRC supports local sports and children’s programs whenever possible. Most recently we have donated to both the Chico High School Cross Country Team and Pleasant Valley High School Cross Country Team.
Membership renews each July 1. If you join in the middle of the year you may request pro-rated dues.
Single memberships receive 1 t-shirt, family memberships receive 2 t-shirts. Extra shirts avail. $10.00
